This Conservation Area is located in the center of the country, almost entirely formed by the Central Volcanic Mountain Range. Protects 25 protected wild areas. It presents a great diversity of natural ecosystems originated by the variety of climates, altitudes and irregular topography.
It also has more than 250,000 hectares of forests, which play a fundamental role in the protection of water resources, basic for the human and socio-economic development of the cities that inhabit it.
