Your experienced Bike guide welcomes you at the reception of your city hotel and takes you out of the city and directly into your Costa Rica E-Bike adventure. Your first stop is the village of Zarcero with its iconic park and church. This is the starting point of today’s route towards the scenic lagoon “Laguna Hule”.
Your paths lead along agricultural areas and protected zones, as it is the Juan Castro Blanco National Park, with one of Costa Rica’s biggest water reservoirs. You’ll enjoy an adrenaline downhill ride and several stunning lookout points on the Poás Volcano and the Northern plains lying in front of you. At the end of today’s route, you will arrive at Laguna Hule, surrounded by green, lush vegetation. Here, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, before the bikes are loaded, and you continue towards today’s hotel at the Chachagua Rainforest.

The next section of your tour takes you around Lake Arenal and via the town of Tronadora to the province Guanacaste, the sunshine capital of Costa Rica.

After crossing the Caño Negro river by pantoon, a pleasant ride along the shore grants you spectacular views on the lake and hilly surroundings until you get to the small town of Tronadora, where you will enjoy a picnic for lunch. Here, you switch from bike to bus for the last kilometres towards the Northern mountain range and its mighty volcanoes Tenorio, Miravalles and Rincón de la Vieja. Today you will ride the beautiful trails between Santa Teresa and Montezuma, a technical route which you will be perfectly prepared for after the last days’ experience. Enjoy the beautifully coloured hills: green vegetation, prominent flowers and the deep blue of the ocean and mostly cloudless skies. A lot of wildlife is also on their way around here, so watch out along the way. Arriving at Montezuma beach, get refreshed at the restaurant “Ubin”, nestled in the lush green surrounding gardens and recharge your batteries with a delicious lunch. You’ll need them full for climbing the last meters to the impressive Montezuma waterfall, which sets the end to this Costa Rica E-bike discovery. You’ll be back to Santa Teresa by bus for sunset.
