DAY 1: SAN JOSÉ
Arrival and reception at the airport, transfer to your city hotel in San José.
DAY 2: SAN JOSÉ - LA FORTUNA/ARENAL
Pick up your rental car in your hotel and drive to the Northern Lowlands, to La Fortuna at the Arenal Volcano. Before that, you can take a look around in the capital city, take a coffee tour on the slopes of the Poás Volcano or visit the La Paz Waterfall Gardens in Vara Blanca
DAY 3: LA FORTUNA/ARENAL
In the immediate surroundings of the volcano, which is calm right now, you can find a lot of different activities in a spectacular setting, today you can choose out of the following: Hiking, riding a bike, horseback riding, kayak, zip-lining, and much more. Enjoy!
DAY 4: LA FORTUNA - MONTEVERDE
Next stop: cloud forest. You’re driving around the dam lake Arenal until Tilarán and hike up to the cloud forest paradise Monteverde. The cold mountain breeze offers a magical forest that you’ll get to know these days.
DAY 5: MONTEVERDE
There are differently formed epiphytes, moss, ferns and colourful birdlife as well as cool temperatures. Experience Costa Rica from another point of view, from above, on the hanging bridges in Selvatura Park!
DAY 6: MONTEVERDE - PACIFIC COAST
Drive to the Northern or Central Pacific Coast. To get to the beaches of Sámara and Tamarindo, you take the La Amistad bridge to the Nicoya Peninsula. To get to Tambor / Montezuma / Santa Teresa take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera, and for the Central Pacific Coast, you drive South after getting on to the Panamerican Highway.
DAY 7: PACIFIC COAST
Day at the Pacific Coast! In Manuel Antonio, you can connect it with a short stroll through the National Park.
DAY 8: PACIFIC COAST - SAN JOSÉ
You return to the Central Valley where you drop off your car directly at the airport and travel home. Tip: Plan enough time for this drive because from the North Pacific there are may be delays due to single-lane streets.
