Sámara

Located on the Nicoya Peninsula, Sámara is one of the safest and most attractive Pacific Coast beaches in the country. It is a wide bay that lies at the foot of a steep hill covered in tropical rainforest.

In this area, you can go bird watching, horseback riding, swimming, snorkelling in calm waters, scuba diving, sportfishing, and visit the village of Guaitíl which is famous for indigenous pottery. The town centre is full of restaurants and trendy boutiques and shops.
