Golf & Costa Rica

Golf came to Costa Rica in 1940 with a single course. It was not until more than 30 years later that a second course was opened. Today, there are several golf courses in Costa Rica, some of which are considered by experts to be among the best in the world and have been created by renowned designers.

Beaches

Costa Rica borders the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea or Atlantic Ocean to the east and offers two almost endless coastlines with beautiful sandy beaches. Water sports such as surfing, paddle boarding, canoeing, snorkeling and catamaran trips, to name but a few, await you.

Waterfalls

Volcanoes

As part of the “Pacific Ring of Fire”, Costa Rica has hundreds of volcanic formations. Among them are a handful of huge volcanoes that are more or less active. 

Paradoxically, previous eruptions have helped the affected region to recover unusually quickly after the destruction thanks to the nutrient-rich volcanic soil. Today, for example, you can find impressive flora and fauna around the Arenal volcano in the national park of the same name.

National parks

The small country protects more than a quarter of its territory in the form of state national parks. This means that the native flora and fauna remain untouched, as access is regulated by tourism. A gentle exploration of the flora and fauna is therefore a very sustainable way of exploring.
