Every time we have visited a National Park or a protected area of this country, we felt this connection with nature and it allowed us to forget about our problems for a moment. Forest bath
Immerse your 5 senses in the forest and start enjoying the benefits that this activity will bring to your being. First, I wasn’t sure what this activity is about until we started to do breathing exercises in a natural environment full of purified air, in contact with nature, the trees, the vegetation of the place, and other elements and exercises that make it to a natural, relaxing and wellness therapy.
Different studies have proved that it is an efficient treatment to reduce tension, anger, anxiety, depression, and sleeplessness. Anyway, from our point of view, we can add that it’s the most direct form to feel nature at its maximum. This is why we recommend detoxing your lungs and soul from the toxins that we absorb every day. Once you finish the tour, you will feel your lungs stronger and your mind balanced.

Earthing (barefoot walk on the earth or sand)
When you get sick due to your lifestyle, you have to start making changes. Earthing could be one of them. Recover your health!
Earthing or grounding consist of direct contact with the earth, stop being two separated elements and become just one (connect with earth).
It consists of a walk barefoot over the earth and letting the free electrons of our body and the planet (our body is an electrical conductor), so they can neutralize the free radicals that are protagonists in many inflammatory processes.
When we did this the first time, we thought it is a waste of time, but the results were impressive. You have to open your body and your mind in this exercise to see the positive results after every session. In addition, it has been shown that the practice of Earthing regulates cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and reduces blood viscosity. Mother Nature definitely knows how to heal us and in this little piece of land you can practice it, I'm sure it will help you as it helped me!

We all love a good massage and spa, and from time to time it is good to relax and enjoy, but next time you think about a spa session, think about “Splunch”. Wraps
Every day there are more wellness activities and spa treatments. It is the trend of health care and personal esthetic with natural treatments.
This is why we see in many spas of the country a technique called Body Wrap. This wellness procedure consists of wrapping your body in different elements like coffee, volcanic mud, tropical fruit and/or chocolate to hydrate your skin, tone your body, improve circulation, eliminate cellulite, detox your body, and move the fats, which can be eliminated naturally. When you finish each session, your skin feels smooth, soft, clean, and even with a few pounds less!
Remember to drink much water before and after you do the Body Wrap. This helps the removal of the toxins. Hydrotherapy (with thermal water)
Costa Rica is a privileged country with a high level of water resources, it is even one of the few countries in the world where you can drink the water directly from the unfiltered tap. Thanks to this precious liquid, you can also experience hydrotherapy for therapeutic and wellness purposes. For example, a dish prepared in Nicoya, Guanacaste, is different to the same one in San José (just 4 hours away), and this one is also different to the same one on the Caribbean coast.
